The 2000kVA transformers are designed to step down from Medium Voltage (MV) to Low Voltage (LV), making them ideal for integration with switchboards in energy storage systems. This stepdown configuration is essential for ensuring smooth and reliable power distribution to auxiliary equipment, supporting the overall efficiency of the BESS infrastructure.
In line with Daelim Transformer’s commitment to sustainability, the transformers utilize biodegradable oil as the coolant fluid. This environmentally friendly solution not only offers superior insulation properties but also supports energy efficiency. The PAPO brand biodegradable oil used in these transformers provides the same performance as FR3 oil but at a significantly lower cost, allowing customers to benefit from both enhanced performance and reduced operational costs.
The low-voltage side of the transformer features a special side-mounted design with a throat for easy connection to the switchboard. Externally mounted gauges, sample valves, and drain systems are housed in a lockable cabinet with a five-point bolt lock. This unique design allows operators to safely inspect the oil levels, test the gauges, and perform maintenance tasks without exposing themselves to high-voltage (HV) or low-voltage (LV) bushings, significantly enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

To ensure continuous, optimal performance, the transformer is equipped with oil level and temperature indicators that feature two contact points for remote monitoring. These indicators provide real-time data to operators, sending alarm signals when the oil level is too high or too low. Additionally, if the temperature of the coolant fluid exceeds 85°C, the system will trigger an alarm. Should the temperature rise above 105°C, the transformer will automatically disconnect from the grid to prevent overheating and potential damage, ensuring the safety and reliability of the system.
