Transformer Features
The 4500 kVA substation transformer features a primary voltage of three-phase 11,000V Delta and a secondary voltage of three-phase 1000Y. It utilizes the KNAN cooling method with vegetable oil. With a power rating of 4500 kVA under self-cooling conditions, it also incorporates a 5-position tap changer. The high and low voltage bushings feature a side-mounted design, while both the HV and LV are equipped with a throat for easy connection to high and low voltage distribution cabinets.
The 4500 kVA substation transformer was customized for an Australian mining customer. Entailed meeting stringent size requirements for operation in underground mine tunnels. To address this challenge, Daelim Transformer employed vegetable oil as the insulating liquid and aluminum winding material. This approach resulted in a relatively compact structure, small size, and reduced footprint, ensuring seamless operation within the mine tunnel environment.
