4000 kVA Substation Transformer
The substation transformer has a primary voltage of 25kV and a secondary voltage of 600V. It has a capacity of 3000 kVA for ONAN (Oil Natural Air Natural Cooling) cooling and 4000 kVA for ONAF (Oil Natural Air Forced) cooling. The Dyn1 connection group specifies the winding connections of the transformer, and the outlet structure is designed for high and low voltage side-mounting.
The transformer features a sealed cover for protection and safety. It uses regular mineral oil (45#) as the insulating liquid. The cooling method employed is ONAN/ONAF, combining natural cooling with forced air cooling based on operating conditions.
The conductor material for the high voltage (HV) winding and low voltage (LV) winding is aluminum. The transformer will be filled with Type II mineral oil containing less than 2 ppm PCB. The liquid level at 25℃ is 270 mm below the top of the highest manhole flange, with a 10 mm change per 10℃ change in average liquid temperature.
The transformer tank is designed to withstand complete vacuum and internal pressure of 7 psi. It must not be energized from any voltage source when de-energized tap changers are operated. The transformer is designed for operation between pressure limits of 10 psi positive and 8 psi negative. It meets the energy efficiency requirements of CAN/CSA-C802.3 and is built to CSAC88 standards.
