The application of these transformers is at a Battery Energy Storage power generation facility, where they must exhibit remarkable resilience against various electrical challenges. Specifically, these transformers are engineered to withstand harmonic voltages and currents emanating from inverters, transient over-voltages resulting from switching surges and faults, as well as substantial fluctuations in transformer loading, which are commonplace in BESS projects.

  • Filling plug located on the sidewall of the compartment.
  • Cable support facilitated by a cross-member strut channel made of galvanized steel or aluminum (Unistrut P1000 series or equivalent).

  • The nameplate includes essential information: Manufacturer's name, primary and secondary voltage, kVA rating, serial and catalog numbers, type impedance, wiring diagram, and manufacturing date.
  • A hinged compartment door, tamper-resistant in line with ANSI C57.12.28 requirements.

The Oil Sampler/Drain Valve is situated within a weatherproof and lockable cover on the transformer's exterior, ensuring accessibility without entering the high-voltage or low-voltage compartments.

Compartment Location

The 12.47 kV and 34.5 kV compartments are positioned on the wide side (front) of the transformer tank. These high-voltage and low-voltage compartments are separated by a vertical steel barrier and are arranged side-by-side on one side of the transformer tank. When viewed from the front, the low-voltage compartment is located on the right.

Factory Tests

The transformer undergoes comprehensive factory tests in strict accordance with ANSI/IEEE C57.12.90 standards. Each unit undergoes a battery of tests, including resistance measurements, polarity, and phase relation assessments, ratio evaluations, examination of no-load losses and excitation current, load loss measurements and impedance voltage assessments, impulse tests (with only one unit per production size required), dissolved gas in oil analysis, insulation power factor tests, and oil quality assessments.

The certified test report is an integral part of the delivery, furnished to the Purchaser within five days following the successful completion of all factory tests. These rigorous testing procedures attest to the quality, reliability, and adherence to standards that characterize these transformers.

Daelim 4 MVA pad mounted transformer has two types, one is loop feed and another is radial feed type. You can choose according to the requirements of the access grid. You can also select Dead Front or Live Front.
