Transformer Features
The 3000 kVA power transformer features a primary voltage of three-phase 34,500V Delta and a secondary voltage of three-phase 480GrdY/277V. It employs the KNAF cooling method with a set of fans. The power rating under self-cooling is 2500 kVA, which increases to 3000 kVA when the fan is turned on. Additionally, it includes a 5-position tap changer. The high and low voltage bushings have a side-mounted design, with the HV featuring a full-height air terminal chamber (bottom entry). The LV bushing is specifically designed with a throat for easy connection to switchgear.
The utilization of aluminum winding material offers improved conductivity, reduced weight, and lower cost.

FR3 Oil
FR3 oil is vegetable oil, a degradable and environmentally friendly insulating oil. With a fire point greater than 300°C, and with UL certification, such insulating oil makes the transformer safer and has better insulation performance, which can increase the service life of the transformer.
Gauges
The system includes a liquid level indicator, thermometer, pressure relief device, vacuum pressure gauge, and winding temperature indicator gauges with auxiliary contacts for alarm and trip functions.
Rapid Pressure Rise Relay
A rapid pressure rise relay on the transformer provides protection in the event of a rapid increase in tank pressure. This safety component detects sudden pressure fluctuations that exceed predetermined safety limits.
Lightning Arresters
Lightning arresters on the primary side provide over-voltage and transient voltage protection against lightning, internal switching, or voltage surges.
